Aloha! My name is Jolina Vidal. I'm a sophomore majoring in TESOL Education, minoring in Health & Human Science and Intercultural Peacebuilding. I'm an ambivert: 52% extrovert and 48% introvert. I have very poor eyesight, so don't say hi to me when you're 20 meters away. I love singing and dancing so if we're on the same page, maybe we can do karaoke night or make tiktok dance!

I was exposed to technology in 6th grade, and the first site that excited me the most was Pizzap. Pizzap was a site where you could edit pictures to put frames, stickers, or filters. I remember I was a huge fan of K-pop before, and I edited a picture where I collaged my idol's picture with my own picture. Jejemon is a term in the Philippines where people are labeled as old-fashioned, and Pizzap is considered jejemon. Later on, I had an opportunity to take a test to join a certificate program about basic learning about computers and Microsoft. I got into the certificate program and learned the basic parts of the computer and how to use Microsoft Office. This helped me a lot, especially as I entered high school. Technology is evolving, and it keeps getting better and better. However, it has its pros and cons depending on how you use it.

hope to learn how to use computers and technology better in a classroom setting and even personally. I haven't explored technology deeply, and I'm new to this blog, so I think there are many things that technology can do for us. I want to discover other things that technology can do as a teaching tool to better facilitate learning in class as a future educator. As Arthur Clarke has said, " Any sufficiently advanced technology is equivalent to magic." I want the kind of magic that makes a good impact on the children. Children nowadays are exposed to technology early, but the question is, are they using it well? They need experience in technology that helps their learning development grow and be used for a good purpose not just entertainment.
